Asheville Attorney Anthony Tuorto

Anthony Tuorto is the founder of Tuorto Law, P.C. Opened in 2015, Tuorto Law, P.C. started with the sincere purpose of providing outstanding legal services to those facing criminal charges in Western North Carolina. Mr. Tuorto aims to provide individualized advocacy for each client by applying his knowledge of the law, experience in the courtroom, and understanding of our judicial system to each case. His practice focuses solely on criminal law matters, and ranges from misdemeanor offenses and traffic tickets to serious felony indictments such as drug offenses and DUI/DWI

Mr. Tuorto began his legal career as an intern with the North Carolina Department of Justice and the Buncombe County Public Defender’s Office. Upon graduation from law school, he spent three years as an Assistant District Attorney in Henderson, Polk and Transylvania counties where he spent countless hours in the courtroom cultivating his legal knowledge and trial skills. He next joined a busy criminal law practice in Asheville where he represented clients in a wide range of criminal charges in Buncombe and its surrounding counties. With experience in both the public and private sector, Mr. Tuorto brings a unique perspective to his practice and to the issues his clients are facing. He has successfully resolved many criminal issues for his clients both in and out of the courtroom.

Mr. Tuorto understands the importance of staying current on criminal laws and trends and attends conferences every year that discuss evolutions in this field of law.  He is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the 28th Judicial District, North Carolina Advocates for Justice and was recognized by the Trial Lawyers Association as a top attorney under the age of forty.

Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Tuorto enjoys hiking, woodworking and playing guitar. He and his wife Shannan Barclay Tuorto live in Alexander with their two dogs.
